We would like to thank Mr Mel Booth for the beautiful gift that arrived this morning. A vintage boat hook. Thank you so much.
The white lining is finished! Sunflower is looking amazing!
White lining on the stern is complete! The bow is masked up and ready for the white lines to be painted.
Giving Sunflower some new white lines. A very time consuming process, having to mask up every line and make sure that they are parallel and meet up with the ones on the engine doors.
We have been very busy working on Sunflower over the last few days. Battery tray is finished. Sunflower has had a well deserved polish and her chrome buffed up. She is looking good!! Started work on the engine doors, new white lines and all chrome work removed and polished.
Our 3D printed replicas have finally arrived after the first shipment was lost. Sparton Boat steering wheel centre and Century Resorter steering wheel centre.
The Century one has been hand painted and hand finished, can you tell which is the original?
Today we made a wooden tray to sit the battery on, it will then be lined with a battery mat. Just on with the staining then varnishing tomorrow.
Chrome trim refurbished, taken off, dents removed, old varnish removed, cleaned and polished and put back on.
Port and Starboard navigation light refurbished and fitted with a low voltage led bulb.
Fixed down some planking and then on to corking, staining and varnishing.
Ready for some sunshine and a picnic. Sunflower is ready with her 1950’s vintage picnic hamper.
